A Druid is quite possibly the most versatile class in the entire World of Warcraft. Because of the many different talent routes you can take with your druid, I have written up this Basic WoW Druid Leveling Guide so hopefully you can avoid some of the mistakes that I made.

Druid Leveling wow gold Guide Part 1: Getting Started

Ok, so you have finished your starting zone and preliminary quests. You've just dinged level 10, and you can now choose your talent specialization. You have the choice of Feral, Balance, or Restoration. Feral is definitely your best choice since you won't be using any mana, except to heal. That means almost no downtime, and constant questing. It's one of the fastest and most efficient leveling specs available. In addition, you will be able to tank dungeons as well. Most feral talents favor both cat and bear forms. However, you will be able to tank early dungeons, even with mostly DPS talents. Once you hit level 30, things get more complicated. You can then spec feral cat/feral bear for a good dps/tank combo, balance/resto for a good magic dps/healing combo, or you can mix and match. I would definitely recommend one dps spec for questing, and one tank or healing spec. Balance is a decent solo leveling and questing spec, but only after you have gotten some decent talents and gear.

Druid Leveling Guide Part 2: Gear

Druids are leather wearers all the way. They can wow items equip Staves, Pole-arms, 1 and 2-handed maces, fist weapons, daggers, off-hand frill items, and relics. The weapon you choose will depend completely on your spec, and appropriate stats.

Feral Druids want a high dps 2-handed weapon. Stats that benefit feral druids are agility wow gear for attack power, damage, crit, dodge, and armor; and stamina for overall health. Strength offers some attack power, but agility is better. While leveling, crit is good, but mastery is better for raiding once it's available. Haste is also good for regenerating energy faster.

Balance Druids want to focus heavily on Intellect, hit, haste, and mastery. All of these will significantly affect your damage.

One last thing: Never buy gear on the auction house. It's a waste of gold. Between quests, dungeons, and professions, you can get everything you need without spending a dime.

Druid Leveling Guide Part 3: Professions

Gathering professions are good. They're also very profitable. I'd pick skinning and mining for a boost to crit and stamina. However, crafting professions, when worked properly, can be very profitable and make obtaining gear much more feasible. You can spend hours and hours farming and gathering mats to sell on the auction house, or you can use a good WoW Gold Guide, learn to work the auction house, make gold on autopilot, and use those profits to powerlevel crafting professions that will make you even more gold on autopilot. As a druid, I would recommend leveling Leatherworking, jewelcrafting, enchanting, alchemy, or inscription. These all provide gear that you can use directly, and can be quite profitable if you know how to work them.
